![]() ![]() The one thing strong this song has is the hook. I also don’t think that having the “cuss word speech” thing at the end was necessary either. I understand this is the purpose of the song, though. The verses aren’t bad, but they aren’t very strong. He just kinda rides the beat with a predictable flow. It kinda sounds like the song Bounce off of the album Under Pressure. The beat sounds like it came from Bobby Tarantino II and it’s very bouncy. This is my favorite Logic song of all time. I also love the Jay Z vocal sample in the end. The whole track features Jon Bellion’s vocals in the background, and it really adds a lot to the track. He lifts the listener up and encourages us to do what we love no matter what people say, and I like that. He talks about the grind that he’s been on, just writing from his heart. He then talks about how his dreams are coming true, but he doesn’t do it in a corny way (IM LOOKING AT YOU “ONE DAY”) He says to just not call him a white rapper and just label him as a normal rapper. The song goes through the hook and he picks up the second verse, starting off by bringing up his race and how people call him a white rapper who tries to say he’s black. Thinking to myself “Damn and you made Illmatic” Shook his hand and he started quoting my lines I remember meeting Nas for the first time He brings up meeting Nas and him saying he’s a Logic fan. He starts off his verse by talking about how much he has always wanted to make it to the top of the rap game and now he feels like he is getting up there. I really like the hook, as it really sticks to you. Logic delivers a smooth and effective hook about how he has made it after living broke all his life. The title track starts off with a nice subtle piano. Again, I don’t know, but if you do be sure to comment what it is. I’m not exactly sure what the artwork is, but it looks like either Logic or Frank Sinatra kissing a girl in a crowd. ![]()
